Omotola was born and brought up in Lagos by the Jalade family. She grew up in a family of five; her father, Oluwashola Jalade; her mother, Oluwatoyin Jalade; her younger brothers, Tayo Jalade and Bolaji Jolade. Unfortunately, Mr Oluwashola Jalade, Omotola’s father, is late. He died many years ago, in 1991.
While Omotola has a loving and cohesive maiden family, she’s replicating the love by raising her own family. The beautiful star actress got married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde (a pilot) in 1996 and their union is blessed with four children (two boys and 2 girls). She gave birth to her first born/daughter in 1997 (a year after her marriage).

According to Captain Matthew, he met Omotola a VIRGIN. The couple has 2 grown up boys and two grown up girls.
Matthew Ekeinde was born on March 23, 1968 (50 years old). He hails from Sabongida-Ora in Edo State. However, it was reported that, Matthew Ekeinde practically grew up in the Igboland. He moved around alot with his father, who was a law enforcement officer serving in the Nigeria police.
Omotola’s husband, Matthew Ekeinde is a professional pilot. He has rose to the rank of a Captain, with over 20 years of experience and thousands of mileage under his belt. He is one of the most prominent indigenous pilots in Nigeria today. He has worked with several top airlines in the country and beyond.

As we’ve stated earlier, Omotola Jalade got married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde in 1996. However, the unique style of their wedding was what actually dominated the headlines.
The pilot husband of Omotola Jalade opted to give her wife a memorable wedding, some three years into their marriage, in 2001. He chose the most unconventional way; a wedding aboard a flight (a Dash 7 aircraft). The wedding had in attendance few friends, family and a priest. It was, indeed, memorable.
The couple celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary earlier this year and the Captain was gushing all over his wife.
